Terms of Service

1. Nature of the service

Let's Talk provides guided conversation sessions to help couples discuss money, capture agreements, and revisit them over time.

Let's Talk is not:

• A financial advice service or financial planning service
• A legal or tax advice service
• A relationship counselling or therapeutic service
• A budgeting, banking, or investment platform

Nothing on Let's Talk constitutes financial, legal, tax, or therapeutic advice. General financial information provided through the service, including through the financial literacy companion, is for educational purposes only. It is not tailored to your circumstances and must not be relied upon as a substitute for professional advice.

2. Specialist referrals

Let's Talk does not currently make specialist referrals. The app may display an AI-generated suggestion that a specialist could be useful, but no introduction is made and no information is shared with any specialist.

If a referral capability is introduced, these terms will be updated before it takes effect. At that point the following will apply:

• Referrals are introductions only. Let's Talk does not vet, endorse, or take responsibility for any specialist introduced through the service.
• Let's Talk does not supervise, review, or guarantee the quality of advice given by any specialist.
• Any engagement with a specialist is a direct arrangement between you and that specialist. Let's Talk is not a party to it.
• Let's Talk may receive a referral fee from specialists for introductions. This will be disclosed before you confirm any referral.

3. Shared accounts and partner access

Let's Talk is designed for two people sharing a couple account. When you create or join a couple account:

• Both partners can see and edit all shared content, including goals, commitments, action items, open questions, and spending agreements.
• Inviting a partner grants them full access to everything in your shared account.
• You are responsible for inviting only the person you intend to share with.

4. Your account

Authentication is by single-use magic link. There is no password. You are responsible for maintaining access to your email account.

You may hold one couple account at a time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to access another couple's data
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service or its infrastructure

6. Account termination and data deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing hello@letstalkabout.money. We will process requests within 30 days.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
• Stuart Bashford is not liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from your use of the service, including any decisions made in reliance on information presented in the service.
• Stuart Bashford is not liable for financial or relationship outcomes resulting from conversations facilitated by Let's Talk.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

8. Intellectual property

The Let's Talk platform, its design, guided session structure, and prompts are owned by Stuart Bashford. The conversation content you enter (goals, commitments, and agreements) belongs to you.

9. Changes to these terms

The current version of these terms is always available at this page. The last updated date at the top will change when the terms are updated.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
